MarketWatch Summer 2008

DownConfidence

UpRates of Pay

Our confidence barometer in this issue has been stood on it's head. 45% of our survey participants feel less confidence about the months ahead. Having said that, rates still appear to be rising. One explanation is that rates are in fact polarising, that's to say they're rising for those hard-to-find skills but for the vast majority they're pretty much static.

Special Focus

In this latest issue of MarketWatch we compared demand across various sectors of the UK economy. No surprise that demand has tailed-off in financial services but it still accounts for 60% of all requirements.
